**Join Our Dynamic Intermediate Care Unit Team as a Registered Nurse (RN)!**
**Job Description:**
- **Role:** Registered Nurse (RN)
- **Department:** Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)
- **Shift:** 3x12, DAYS
- **Weekly Guaranteed Hours:** 36
- **Call Requirements:** None
- **Licenses:** NV RN license required prior to start
- **Required Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
**Experience Required:**
- Minimum 2 years of IMC/Stepdown experience required.
- Medical/Neuro ICU experience preferred.
- Proficiency with vasopressors, titratable drips, art lines, neuro-stepdown patients, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and trach management.
- IMCU travelers must pass an ECG/Telemetry exam, which includes reading and interpreting rhythm strips. Failure of the telemetry exam will result in contract termination.
- Prior travel experience of one 13-week assignment is required.
**Unit Description:**
- The IMCU consists of 18 beds, catering to individuals experiencing severe but usually non-life-threatening issues.
- Focus on moderately complex assessments, intensive therapies, and vigilant nursing intervention.
- Cater to a variety of medical conditions, including post ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, sepsis, cardiac issues, and respiratory challenges.
- Commitment to clinical excellence and exceptional customer service in a collaborative, multidisciplinary, patient-centered environment.
**Additional Comments:**
- Travelers may float to organizational needs up to their competency level.
- Flexibility to work major holidays and commit to picking up one additional shift during each 4-week scheduling period is required.
- Expect variability in schedule based on departmental requirements, which may include weekends and holidays.
