Key Responsibilities of the RN - Stepdown - Travel- Provide high-quality care to higher acuity neuroscience patients
- Monitor and manage Stepdown patients in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU)
- Implement NIH protocols for stroke patients
- Coordinate with charge nurses and respond to physician orders for drip titration
- Collaborate with respiratory therapists for floor vent management
Requirements of the RN - Stepdown - Travel- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications; ACLS preferred
- Strong neuro experience, including caring for stroke patients
- Experience with common titratable drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro
- EPIC systems experience required
