RN – Cardiac Stepdown / Stepdown Float
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Cardiac/Stepdown Float team in an acute-care setting. This position is ideal for a clinically strong RN with Stepdown or Progressive Care experience who is comfortable caring for higher-acuity cardiac patients and adapting to different unit needs.

- Guaranteed Hours:48 hours/week

Requirements
- Minimum Experience: 2 years
- BSN: Not required
- License: Active RN license; license accepted for submission
- BLS – AHA: Required
- ACLS – AHA: Required
- Previous Stepdown, PCU, Cardiac Stepdown, or comparable acute-care experience preferred
- Strong assessment, prioritization, and clinical judgment skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to acute Stepdown and cardiac patients.
- Monitor patients closely for changes in cardiac and clinical status.
- Perform assessments, administer medications, and implement individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Adapt to varying patient assignments and unit needs as part of the Stepdown Float team.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced Stepdown/Cardiac RN with at least 2 years of acute-care experience who is comfortable working night shifts, caring for higher-acuity patients, and supporting multiple Stepdown environments as part of a float team.
