Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care / Telemetry – Wisconsin

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Schedule: Evening/Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM. Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required. 3:1 patient ratio.
Highlights:
- Work in dual units: IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care and IMC Thoracic, providing specialized care to acutely ill adult patients with multiple comorbidities
- 29-bed unit caring for specialty populations including Cystic Fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, and post-lung transplant patients
- Academic Level I Trauma Center environment with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
- Epic EMR charting system
- 36-hour orientation provided
- Magnet-designated teaching facility consistently ranked as a top hospital in the nation
Requirements:
- Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license required
- BLS and ACLS (AHA only) certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience within the last 3 years
- PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
- Telemetry oncology, cardiac experience required
- Ventilator and transplant experience required (strong proficiency essential)
- Previous travel experience required
- Academic Level I or II Trauma Center experience or similar size hospital required
- Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to start (strict passing criteria applies)
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Must reside 50 miles or more from facility
