Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care / Telemetry – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Evening/Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM. Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required. 3:1 patient ratio.

Highlights:
  • Work in dual units: IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care and IMC Thoracic, providing specialized care to acutely ill adult patients with multiple comorbidities
  • 29-bed unit caring for specialty populations including Cystic Fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, and post-lung transplant patients
  • Academic Level I Trauma Center environment with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
  • Epic EMR charting system
  • 36-hour orientation provided
  • Magnet-designated teaching facility consistently ranked as a top hospital in the nation
Requirements:
  • Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license required
  • BLS and ACLS (AHA only) certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience within the last 3 years
  • PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
  • Telemetry oncology, cardiac experience required
  • Ventilator and transplant experience required (strong proficiency essential)
  • Previous travel experience required
  • Academic Level I or II Trauma Center experience or similar size hospital required
  • Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to start (strict passing criteria applies)
  • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
  • Must reside 50 miles or more from facility
