Compensation & Schedule Details
- Hours & Shift: 36 hours per week (12-hour Nights, 1900–0730; Monday through Friday with every other weekend or to meet scheduling needs, plus holidays). Optional 4x12s (Thursday–Sunday) available upon request.
- Contract Length: Travel contract (Target Start Date: October 12, 2026).
- Distance & Compliance Rules: Strict 50-mile radius rule (no local candidates accepted). All reference information must be removed from candidate profiles prior to submittal. Parking requires a UW Transportation permit.
Key Facility Policies & Testing Mandates
- Floating & Environment: Travelers are required to float as needed. Ranked Wisconsin's #1 hospital and Magnet-designated teaching facility.
- Telemetry Examination: Must pass a strict adult telemetry exam prior to start (maximum 2 initial attempts; 100% on lethal rhythms: V-fib, V-tach, asystole; no incorrect answers on 3rd-degree heart block questions; 80% overall passing score).
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown experience within the last 3 years.
- Charting: Recent Epic charting experience required.
- Licensure: Active Wisconsin (WI) RN license or multi-state compact RN license in hand.
- Certifications: AHA-only BLS and AHA-only ACLS required.
