Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit / Step-Down Registered Nurse – New Jersey

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Southern New Jersey

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts with every other weekend required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). One holiday per contract required. No on-call required.

Highlights:
  • Progressive Care Unit (PCU/DOU/IMC/Step-Down) position caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
  • 4:1 patient ratio on night shift with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and physical therapy
  • Epic charting system in a modern acute care environment
  • 24 hours of orientation provided to ensure successful onboarding
  • Floating required to like units only – will not float outside scope of practice
  • Travel nursing experience preferred with 13-week assignment
Requirements:
  • Active New Jersey RN license or compact license required at time of submission
  • Minimum 1 year of recent PCU/DOU/IMC/Step-Down experience required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
  • Must complete clinical competency assessment and compliance requirements including background screening and labs
