Critical Care Stepdown RN 

  • 2+ years of RECENT Step-Down experience required
  • Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Description: 

  • 36 hrs guaranteed
  • EOW & EOH
  • No blocked scheduling
  • Local candidates accepted (lower rate)
  • Ratio: 1:4-5
  • Medication System: Pyxis
  • Unit / Patient Population: Diagnoses, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), S/P heart catheterization, S/P vascular procedures, Respiratory failure (BiPAP / CPAP / Vapotherm), Cardiac dysrhythmias
  • Unit Procedures / Expectations: Post-heart cath care, TR bands, Post-vascular procedure monitoring, Frequent VS and neurovascular checks
  • Required Skills: Cardiac / Emergency, Cardiac monitoring, Dysrhythmia interpretation, Dysrhythmia management, 12-lead EKG/ECG, IV / Vascular, IV start and maintenance, PICC line management, Blood product administration, Medications, Emergency medications, Procedural sedation, administration/monitoring, Cardiac drip titration, Neurological, CVA / Acute Stroke management, Respiratory / Thoracic, BiPAP / CPAP management, Assist with chest tube insertion/removal
