```htmlJob Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 hours per week, rotating day/night shifts every 4 weeks (same shift for 4 consecutive weeks, then rotate to opposite shift). Every other weekend required (Friday & Saturday).

Highlights:

  • Progressive Care Unit with diverse patient population including oncology, medical-surgical, cardiac, and pulmonary diagnoses
  • Rotating shift schedule provides variety and work-life balance over time
  • Epic charting system experience preferred
  • 32 hours of orientation provided
  • 44-bed unit with daily census of approximately 34 patients
  • Float opportunities within the hospital system to expand clinical experience

Requirements:

  • Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
  • Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience in specialty area
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Previous telemetry and cardiac monitoring experience mandatory
  • Strong dysrhythmia interpretation skills
  • Experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drips
  • Proficiency in isolation precautions, IV management, and peripheral line care
  • Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
  • 2 professional references required (at least 1 from manager/director or formal leadership)
  • Willingness to float to different units within the organization as needed
  • Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
