# Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week, every other weekend required

- 13-week travel assignment with 36 hours of comprehensive orientation

- First-time travelers welcome (candidates with only 1 year of experience subject to manager review)
Requirements:- Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 1 year of progressive care or step-down experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
- Proficiency in cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia management, IV therapy, central line care, and advanced monitoring equipment
Clinical Skills & Responsibilities:- Care for adult patients with various medical diagnoses and surgical conditions
- Manage cardiac drips, telemetry monitoring, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Competency in arterial line management, chest tubes, PICC lines, and port access
- Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy care
- Administer blood products, manage heparin and IV insulin protocols
- Wound care including wound vac management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
