**Job Description:**
- **Unit Overview:**
- 23 step down beds, 16 medical-surgical beds
- Night Shift Staff: 1 charge nurse, 10 RNs, 4 Patient Care Technicians
- Patient Ratios: 1:3-4 for step down, 1:4-6 for med surg
- Equipment: lifts, chest tubes, cardiac drips, ventilated patients, tracheostomies
- EMR System: Cerner
- **Ideal Candidate Profile:**
- **Must-Have Skills:**
- 2+ years of nursing experience
- Experience working with tracheostomy patients
- **Preferred Skills:**
- Previous experience with Cerner EMR
- **Typical Procedures:**
- Trach care
- Chest tube management
- Wound dressing changes
- **Personality Fit:**
- Flexibility
- High level of clinical competence
- **Required Certifications:**
- Current ACLS and BLS
- **Floating Areas:**
- Other medical-surgical and progressive care units
- **Dress Code:**
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- **Work Expectations:**
- 6 Saturday or Sunday shifts in a 6-week period
