**Job Description:**
- **Location:** 10 Tower / NSD, Main Building
- **Unit Specifics:**
- Number of Beds: 30 (22 Acute Care, 8 Stepdown)
- Patient Ratios: 6:1 on Acute Care, 4:1 on Neuro Stepdown
- Staffing: 1 RN Charge, 1-2 Techs, and 1 Unit Secretary
- Equipment:
- Acute Care: Vital sign machine, high flow oxygen, chest tubes, suction, various drips
- Neuro Stepdown: Vapotherm, Bipap, Trachs, titrating cardiac drips
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Scheduling: Weekend shifts required
- Floating Policy: Experienced nurses can float after orientation
- Patient Experience: Bedside shift report, personal connection, daily huddle
- **Hiring Profile:**
- **Must Have Skills:**
- Strong acute care nursing skills
- Effective time management
- Stepdown experience preferred
- **Advanced Skills Needed:** Strong critical thinking skills
- **Common Procedures:** Lumbar puncture and chest tube placement
- **Certifications Required:** ACLS and BLS
- **Dress Code:** Wear black, any shade of blue or gray, and any color scrubs on Fridays
