Exciting Opportunity: RN - E5 Cardiac Step-Down** **Job Description:** - **Location:** 509 Biltmore Ave., Asheville, NC 28801 - **Unit:** Owen Heart Center (Heart Tower) - **Beds:** 40 **Join our dynamic team!** - **Staffing:** - Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 10 Bedside Nurses, 4 PCTs, 1 Unit Secretary - Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 10 Bedside Nurses, 3 PCTs - **Patient Ratios:** 1:4, stretch staffing at 1:5 ratio - **Patient Population:** - CHF, MI, CP, arrhythmia, pulmonary hypertension - Valvular disease, endocarditis, DKA - Post cardiac cath/stent, post pacer/ICD/ablation **Key Skills Required:** - Stepdown or progressive care experience - Telemetry experience - Proficient with titratable or cardiac IV medications such as: - Nitroglycerine, Cardizem, Amiodarone - Dopamine, Dobutrex, Insulin drip, Heparin - Bumex/Lasix **Preferred Skills:** - Experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin) - Relief charge experience **Typical Procedures:** - Bedside Cardioversion **Ideal Personality Traits:** - Flexible - Positive attitude - Great team player - Compassionate **Essential Certifications:** - BLS - ACLS **Floating Areas:** - All MedSurg units - Stepdown units - COVID unit - ER holding **Dress Code:** - Scrubs: all white or all navy blue or white top and navy blue pants **Weekend Commitment:** - Every other weekend **Position Title:** BACKFILL - TRAVEL - RN - E5 CARDIAC STEP-DOWN (631) 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM **Experience Required:** - Minimum of 2 years **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
