### Exciting Opportunity for RN Cardiac Med Intermediate - Nights!
**Job Description:**
- **Location:** 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, MO 63128
- **Unit:** Cardiac Med Intermediate
- **Shift:** Nights, 1900-0730
- **Assignment Length:** 16 weeks
- **Weekly Guaranteed Hours:** 36 or 48
- **Number of Openings:** 1
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups
- Utilize nursing process to provide assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments
- Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information
- Evaluate overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers
- Ensure compliance with Mercy Code of Conduct and Mercy Service Standards
**Essential Qualifications:**
- Current RN License (eligible for licensure in Missouri or currently licensed)
- BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA only
- 1 year of experience in Cardiac Stepdown
- Familiarity with types of patients on the unit:
- Post-op CABG/ Valve
- Thoracotomies
- Respiratory Failure
- Chest Pain

- Scrub Color: All Black w/ Mercy Logo on top
- Unacceptable Attire:

- T-shirts, open-toed shoes
- No earbuds, no fake nails
**Unit Information:**
- **Number of Beds:** 32
- **Patient Ratios:** 1:3-1:4
- **Equipment Used:** Chest tubes, Temp Pacemakers, Bipaps
- **EMR:** EPIC
**Working Conditions:**
- Stand and walk most of the time
- Significant bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients
- High-risk exposure to blood and body fluids
