**Exciting Opportunity for Tele or Stepdown RN in the Emergency Department!**
- Join a fast-paced, dynamic team in a Level 1 Trauma Center!
- **Position:** Registered Nurse (RN)
- **Specialty:** Emergency Department (ED/ER)
- **Shift:** Days (0700-1900)
- **Assignment Length:** 13 weeks
- **Weekly Guaranteed Hours:** 36 or 48
- **Patient Ratios:** 4:1 routinely; adaptable to surge circumstances
- **Unit Environment:**
- Number of Beds: 68
- High acuity, busy urban trauma center - treat over 200 patients/day
- Type of Patients: Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, and regional burn patients
- **Required Skills & Experience:**
- Minimum 1 year Tele, Stepdown, or ED experience
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only)
- Preferred: TNCC, NIHSS (must obtain prior to start)
- Strong clinical expertise in high-acuity settings
- **Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver high-quality patient care utilizing the nursing process
- Maintain professional accountability and confidentiality
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided
- **Dress Code:**
- Scrub Color: Black
- Professional attire only; no jeans
- **Working Conditions:**
- Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift
- Physically capable of lifting and pushing patients, handling up to 50 lbs
- Work environment is clean and air-conditioned
