**Job Description:**
- **Position:** Backfill Travel RN - Neuro Stepdown
- **Hours:** 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- **Unit Name:** 10 Tower / NSD
- **Cost Center:** 678
- **Number of Beds:** 30 (22 Acute Care, 8 Stepdown)
**Unit Specifics:**
- Patient Ratios:
- 6:1 on Acute Care
- 4:1 on Neuro Stepdown
- Staffing Description:
- 1 RN Charge overseeing 10 Tower
- 1-2 Techs and a Unit Secretary available
- Equipment:
- Acute Care: Vital sign machine, high flow oxygen, chest tubes, suction, various drips, all things stroke.
- Neuro Stepdown: Vapotherm, Bipap, Trachs, titrating cardiac drips.
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Scheduling Requirements:
- Weekend shifts are required based on schedule.
- Floating Policy:
- Experienced nurses can float after orientation.
- Patient Experience Requirements:
- Bedside shift report, personal connection, daily huddle.
**Hiring Profile:**
- **Requested Skill Set:**
- Must have strong acute care nursing skills and excellent time management.
- Neuro stepdown experience highly preferred.
- **Advanced Skills Needed:**
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- **Procedures Performed on Unit:**
- Common procedures include lumbar puncture and chest tube placement.
- **Certifications Required:**
- BLS for Acute Care, BLS and ACLS for Neuro Stepdown.
**Dress Code:**
- Allowed to wear black, any shade of blue or grey, and any color scrubs on Friday.
