**Job Description:**
- **Unit Information:**
- **Location:** 509 Biltmore Ave., Asheville, NC 28801
- **Floor:** 5th floor
- **Building:** Owen Heart Center (Heart Tower)
- **Unit Details:**
- **Number of Beds:** 40
- **Staffing:**
- **Day Shift:** 1 Charge Nurse, 10 bedside nurses, 4 PCTs, 1 Unit Secretary
- **Night Shift:** 1 Charge Nurse, 10 bedside nurses, 3 PCTs
- **Patient Ratios:** 1:4; stretching staffing to 1:5 ratio
- **Patient Population:**
- Patients with CHF, MI, CP, arrhythmia, Pulmonary Hypertension, valvular disease, endocarditis, DKA, post cardiac cath/stent, post pacer/ICD/ablation
- **Equipment:** Zoll, Baxter pump, lift equipment, bladder scanner
- **EMR:** Cerner
- **Qualifications:**
- **Must Have:**
- Stepdown or progressive care experience
- Telemetry experience
- Experience with titratable or cardiac IV medications (e.g., nitroglycerine, Cardizem, amiodarone)
- **Preferred:**
- Experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin)
- Relief charge experience
- **Typical Procedures:**
- Bedside Cardioversion
- **Personality Traits:**
- Flexible, positive attitude, great team player, compassionate
- **Required Certifications:**
- BLS, ACLS
- **Floating Areas:**
- All MedSurg units, Stepdown units, COVID unit, and ER holding
- **Dress Code:**
- Scrub Color: all white or all navy blue or white top with navy blue pants
- **Schedule:**
- Every other weekend
