GHG Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN SICU - Surgical Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Lexington, Kentucky.

Opportunity:
RN - Trauma/Surgical ICU
Job Details:
• Trauma/Surgical experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Pulmonary Artery (PA) Lines experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
• Travel experience preferred
• Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 12-room unit with 10 beds
• Float required to ICU and PCU
• Self-scheduling
• Will be expected to work 3 of 5 winter holidays
• Treats patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Patients include any type of traumatic injury including MVCs, penetrating wounds, falls, perforated bowels, necrotizing fasciitis, cancer surgery, and liver transplants
• Required skills include arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, Pulmonary Artery/Swan Ganz monitoring, surgical intensive care, and ventilator management
• Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, social services, and more
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: TNCC, CCRN
• Compact or Kentucky State License required
• Local travelers within 100 miles are not accepted at this facility

This is a Level 1 Trauma Center offering a specialized Trauma/Surgical ICU unit dedicated to managing complex and critical patient cases. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services. The unit is equipped to handle a wide range of traumatic injuries and complex surgical cases, supported by a robust team of healthcare professionals committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
