Position Overview

Join a dynamic and fast-paced 15-bed Surgical/Trauma Intensive Care Unit (STICU) dedicated to providing exceptional care for adult critical care patients. As part of a Level 1 facility, you will play a vital role in the treatment and recovery of patients in need of surgical and trauma care.

Job Details

Duration: 13 weeks
Hours: Options for 36 or 48 hours per week
Shift: Night shifts, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Schedule: Every other weekend required; must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays

Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse in the STICU, you will be responsible for:

Providing high-quality care for a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment
Monitoring and managing patient needs and treatment plans
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Adhering to established protocols and standards of care
Participating in ongoing education and professional development

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system
Ability to float to other units as per facility policy
Must be available for all scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays

Additional Information

Time off requests can be approved for up to 40 hours. Candidates with a pending VA nursing license are encouraged to apply. Be prepared for a challenging yet rewarding experience in a highly skilled team environment.
