Educate students in personal hygiene and total health care. Keep current medical records on each student. Conduct routine surveys and annual screenings. Keep parents apprised of student health status. Manage student emergencies related to accidents and health care. Communicate student health care needs to the instructional staff and take sign language classes for communication with deaf students. Good planning, organization, and communication skills required. Injury assessment skills are helpful. Must utilize appropriate personal protective equipment as required.
