Job Summary
Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor Nurse - The facility is seeking a dedicated registered nurse for a 13-week assignment on a medical surgical rehabilitation unit. This unit primarily cares for patients post-acute stroke, with a patient ratio of 1:5, and includes cases involving cardiac conditions, weakness, and deconditioning. The position offers rotating shifts, float capabilities within the skill set, and requires working every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, current BLS (Basic Life Support), EPIC experience, no prior minimum experience required, ability to work in a fast-paced rehabilitation setting, flexibility to float within skill set, and previous employment verification for any Johns Hopkins health system facilities is mandatory.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with stroke and cardiac patients, familiarity with rehabilitation nursing protocols, and proficiency with electronic medical records systems.
  • Additional Information: The assignment involves caring for predominantly post-acute stroke patients, with some cardiac, weakness or deconditioning cases. The unit is small, with 17 beds, and operates with a nurse-patient ratio of 1:5.
