The role demands delivering intensive rehab strategies to improve functional gains and assist patients in returning to their baseline or better.

- Location: Not specified, working on a Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor with 15 beds, including single and double rooms.
- Shift: Days, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Licensure (Oregon or eligible for a 90-day temporary license), BLS Certification, a minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant setting, and appropriate certifications.
- Responsibilities include managing care for patients with common diagnoses such as post-surgery, stroke, or multi-trauma; titrating IV drips like antibiotics and heparin; and collaborating with a team to implement intensive rehab strategies.
- Additional Information: The unit emphasizes teamwork, with a strong culture and positive atmosphere. Frequent physical activity, including lifting and moving up to 50+ pounds, is required; float requirements may be necessary based on staffing levels. The unit operates with a charge nurse who may take a modified or full assignment, and staffing ratios are 1:7 during the day and 1:11 at night, with CNAs provided. The team is supported by rehab providers and available on-call services.
