Job Summary
Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor Nurse, located in the specified healthcare facility, provides specialized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients with neurological, orthopedic, pulmonary, and multi-trauma conditions. This position involves working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support patients' recovery and rehabilitation needs.
Job Details
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Education Requirements: Current state license required; compact license accepted; minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a rehabilitation setting.
- Location Requirements: Must hold a current state license (pending license not accepted), and must be within 50 miles of the facility.
- Years of Experience: 2 years required
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
- Additional Information:
- Possible float to nearby facilities depending on patient census and operational needs
- Includes participation in interdisciplinary therapies such as physical, occupational, and speech therapy, with patients participating in around 3 hours of therapy daily
- Must work 3 of the 5 major holidays, with all scheduling and RTO requests to be made upfront during submission
- Candidates should have at least one year of experience in rehab or related units and be able to meet the specific procedural skills listed, such as NG tube management, wound care, and post-surgical care
- No responses to employment at Providence facilities required for submission; references to be provided as specified
