Job Summary
Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor position in Salem, Virginia, supporting patients through rehabilitation-focused nursing care and functional recovery. The role collaborates with a multidisciplinary care team to help patients achieve goals related to functional independence.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, valid Virginia nursing license, Medical-Surgical or Progressive Care Unit experience, and 1 year of experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Rehabilitation experience.
- Schedule: Night shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Clinical responsibilities include medication administration, intravenous therapy, central line care, feeding tube administration, bladder scanning, tracheostomy care, tube feeding, Foley catheter care, bladder irrigation, and blood administration. The role offers collaboration with nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, physiatry, physician assistant, and neuropsychology professionals to support patient functional improvements and independence. Solid navy blue or white scrubs are required.
