Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor in Corpus Christi, TX. The Registered Nurse position provides inpatient rehabilitation care, including patient transfers, bladder scans, dressing changes, and medication administration. The role supports safe, team-based care for patients requiring rehabilitation services.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, active Registered Nurse licensure, transfer training, and electronic medical record proficiency.
- Schedule: Night shifts lasting 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The unit supports a patient ratio of 5:1, with a maximum of 6:1. Responsibilities include patient transfers, bladder scans, dressing changes, medication administration, bedside reporting, hourly rounding, and bed alarm activation. Rehabilitation scoring documentation experience is preferred. Strong teamwork and initiative are valued. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, and holiday coverage may be required. Rare on-call coverage may be needed based on overall census.
