Description:
The Registered Nurse in the Acute Care setting manages the patient and family experience through critical thinking, teamwork, effective communication, and nursing judgment.
Provides both indirect and direct care to patients across developmental stages, primarily focusing on adults to geriatrics.
Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to address the physiological, psychosocial, safety, learning, and self-care needs of patients and their families.
Responsible for managing the care of assigned patients and directing the activities of ancillary staff.
Collaborates with nursing peers, physicians, and allied support services to deliver comprehensive nursing care.
Administers individualized, goal-directed nursing care from admission to discharge using the nursing process and documentation.
Offers support in the rehabilitation unit, ensuring a safe and effective recovery environment for patients.
Demonstrates skills in various nursing procedures and patient care activities, maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Engages in patient education and teaching, promoting optimal health and recovery strategies.
