Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Rehabilitation Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required License: RN State License and/or Compact State Licensure Certifications: BCLS, ACLS Preferred Must-Have: - Ability to pass Basic EKG exam with 80% or higher (2 attempts allowed) - Telemetry test completion prior to starting Description: The nurse will provide care for patients requiring physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy. Patients may include post-surgical, post-stroke, and those needing prolonged physical therapy. Expect a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 during the night shift. Daily care activities include IV management and lab draws. This is a non-telemetry unit. Collaboration with the physical therapy team and care management team is essential for discharge planning. The department values team-based care and high-quality patient-centered practices. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Engagement in feedback and collaboration is important. Consistent attendance is key as the unit is expanding, creating additional staffing needs. The role requires managing patient assessments, care planning, and implementation of rehabilitation protocols. Nurses will need to be proactive in patient management and intervention strategies. Training opportunities may be available to support caregiver growth. Conversion to permanent positions may also be possible for the right candidate.
