Patient ratios are 5-7 patients per RN. Staffing includes 2-4 techs based on census. Equipped with vital machines, IV pumps, SCDs, and bladder scanners. Documentation system is Meditech. Shifts are 12 hours with every other weekend required. Floating to other departments may be necessary. Preferred experience in rehabilitation. Advanced skills are not needed for this position. Common procedures performed include medication administration, IVs, PICC and PEG tube administration, bladder scans, trach care, tube feeding, Foley catheter insertion, bladder irrigation, and blood administration. Dress code is navy blue or white solid scrubs.
