Travel Nurse RN - Rehab - $1,937 per week in Torrance, CA

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Transitional Care Unit (TCU) focused on rehabilitation and sub-acute recovery across a variety of system diagnoses
• Manage a patient assignment within an expected nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:8-10 in a skilled nursing facility environment
• Follow facility admit criteria; unit does not provide custodial or long-term care
• Document and chart patient care accurately using Epic
• Participate in holiday coverage; expected to work 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• May be expected to float to sister facilities nearby the contracted location as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in California; compact license must be in hand at time of submission - pending licenses are not accepted
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• Must submit all requested time off (RTO) at the time of submission; post-submission RTO requests may not be considered
• Locals are welcome; candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are accepted
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a skilled nursing, sub-acute, or transitional care unit setting
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health records system
• Experience managing higher patient ratios in a SNF or rehabilitation environment
