Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year License: State License Required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Patient ratio experience: 8:1 - Experience with charting systems preferred - Community hospital experience preferred - LTAC experience preferred - Trauma Level I and II experience preferred Description: This position involves working in a rehabilitation setting. Nurses will be required to work every other weekend. Candidates must have at least one year of experience. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Responsibilities include acute inpatient rehabilitation. Nurses will administer blood and blood products as needed. Knowledge of anticoagulation therapy and insulin protocols is essential. Candidates should be familiar with infection prevention and isolation precautions. Skills in patient teaching and pain assessment/management are necessary. Experience with ventilated patients and tracheostomy care is preferred. The role includes blood glucose monitoring and care of chronic renal failure patients. Candidates should be comfortable with mobilization techniques and fall risk assessments. Knowledge of post-operative care and wound management is required. Applicants should be prepared to handle assistive devices and feeding tube care. Proficiency in starting and maintaining IVs is also necessary. Flexibility to float to like units may be required based on facility needs.
