Description:
Data collection date: 9/11/2026
Inpatient rehabilitation unit with 24 beds.
Day shift staff includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 2 Patient Care Technicians, along with occupational, physical, and speech therapists, and case managers.
Night shift staff includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 2 Patient Care Technicians.
Patient ratios are 1:6.
Equipment includes Hill-Rom beds.
Electronic medical record system is Expanse.
Typical procedures performed include physical, occupational, and speech therapy for a total of 3 hours per day.
Patients may receive dialysis, blood transfusions, IV medications, and remote telemetry monitoring.
No bedside surgical procedures are performed.
Candidates must collaborate well with therapy departments.
The focus is on allowing patients to be as independent as possible while maintaining a safe environment.
Preferred skills include:
ACLS training.
Medical/Telemetry experience or higher acuity experience.
Unit guidelines include adherence to fall precautions, healthcare-associated infections, isolation practices, and care experience protocols.
Every other weekend is required, with no on-call shifts.
