Description:
The facility consists of an inpatient rehabilitation unit.
This unit has a total of 15 beds and is staffed with 18 personnel.
Patient ratios vary from 5:1, with a maximum of 6:1.
On the day shift, there is 1 charge nurse who takes a full load, 2 registered nurses, and 1 CNA.
During the night shift, there is 1 charge nurse who also takes a full load, 2 registered nurses, and 1 CNA.
The nursing team utilizes various types of equipment including vital sign machines, transfer equipment, EKG machines, and bladder scanners.
Electronic medical records are managed through a specified system and medication is dispensed via a specific system.
The most sought-after skills include transfer training and EMR proficiency.
Candidates with rehabilitation experience and knowledge of rehabilitation scoring documentation are preferred.
Typical procedures performed on the unit include patient transfers, bladder scans, dressing changes, and medication administration.

This position may require floating to various areas including Med-Surge, Telemetry, Renal, Urology, Orthopedic, and overflow units.
Nurses are expected to conduct bedside report and handoff as well as hourly rounding.

Weekend and holiday shifts are required every other weekend.
On-call assignments are infrequent, occurring only if overall hospital census is low.
