    RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assistant)

    Contract | Days | Variable shifts (8s or 10s) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Serve as a Registered Nurse First Assistant in a 7-suite OR performing 18–20 cases per day
    • Assist with a high volume and variety of surgical cases including Laparoscopic, Bariatrics, Ortho, Neuro, Uro, GYN, and ENT procedures
    • Operate within a 1:1 or 2:1 patient ratio alongside OR technicians and charge nursing staff
    • Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient care coordination
    • Participate in on-call rotation including some nights and weekends; approximately 1 week of night call per week and 2 twelve-hour weekend call shifts per month with a 30-minute call response time
    • Float to Pre-Op and Post-Op areas as needed; holiday coverage required
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • RNFA certification or equivalent First Assistant qualification
    • ACLS certification required
    • BLS certification required
    • Ability to fulfill on-call requirements including nights, weekends, and holidays
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Scrubbing experience preferred though not required for RNs
    • Experience with Cerner EMR
    • Familiarity with a high-volume, multi-specialty OR environment
