Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Shift | 5x8s | Monday–Friday | Shifts rotate between 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, and 10:00 AM–6:30 PM | Call required at least twice per week and every 3rd weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Perform professional nursing functions including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in the perioperative setting
• Assist under the direction of the primary operating surgeon in the perioperative care of patients undergoing surgical procedures, including primary spine, orthopedic, and robotic surgeries
• Coordinate, manage, provide, and delegate patient care while promoting cooperation among the health care team
• Function within the expanded RNFA role, demonstrating leadership and professionalism in accordance with facility policies and guidelines
• Meet established Standards of Nursing Practice and adhere to standards of conduct, service, quality, and care
• Participate in on-call responsibilities as scheduled, including weekends

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS accepted)
• Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR) certification required
• Certification of completion of an approved didactic RNFA course
• Minimum of 3 years scrub and circulate experience in an acute care facility; minimum of 2 years experience as an RNFA
• Experience in primary spine, orthopedic, and robotic surgeries required
• Current Professional Liability Insurance (PLI) documentation required
• Annual surgeon review required
• Epic EMR experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from an approved vendor
• Demonstrated leadership and professionalism in an expanded nursing role
