    Level 4 RN OR RNFA - Robotics (First Assist)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 36–48 hours per week | On-call responsibilities as needed (until 11PM only); rotating holiday requirements; no routine weekends

    Key Responsibilities
    • Collaborate with the surgeon and healthcare team to perform safe operations with optimal patient outcomes in the main operating room
    • Practice in the RNFA role during operative phases of the perioperative experience, functioning under the direction of the surgeon
    • Perform duties of OR staff RN when not assigned in the RNFA role, including scrubbing and circulating responsibilities
    • Apply perioperative nursing knowledge, skill, and clinical judgment specific to robotic surgical procedures including Robotic Urology, GYN, Colorectal, Surgical Oncology, Thoracic, and General Surgery
    • Fulfill on-call responsibilities per unit need, with call coverage extending no later than 11PM
    Required Qualifications
    • Active New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license — NY license required
    • CNOR Certification required
    • Completion of an accredited RN First Assistant (RNFA) program through an accredited college or university
    • Da Vinci robotic surgery experience required across multiple service lines (Urology, GYN, Colorectal, Surgical Oncology, Thoracic, and General Surgery)
    • BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
    • Proficiency in perioperative nursing practice including scrubbing and circulating
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Minimum two (2) years of operating room experience, preferably in a Level 1 trauma setting
    • ACLS certification through the American Heart Association preferred
