Cardiac OR RNFA – Registered Nurse

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | Expected 36–48 hours/week | Primarily weekdays 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and 11:00 AM–11:00 PM | On-call responsibilities per unit need
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with chest exposure and closing during cardiac surgical procedures
- Independently perform vein harvesting for coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) procedures
- First assist in complex cardiac cases, which may include CABGs, structural heart cases (e.g., Bentall), minimally invasive procedures (e.g., Mini Aortic Valve Replacement), and heart failure cases (e.g., Impella)
- Support heart transplant procedures as needed
- Fulfill on-call responsibilities as required by unit needs
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of cardiac RNFA experience
- Active New York State (NYS) RN License
- CNOR Certification required
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Telemetry competency
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience first assisting in DaVinci robotic surgical cases
- Ability to scrub and circulate complex cardiac cases
- Experience with heart transplant procedures
