Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) in an active operating room environment within an 8-bed surgical unit
- Perform both scrub and circulate functions throughout surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operative procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes
- Adhere to perioperative nursing standards and facility protocols throughout all phases of surgical care
- Wear facility-provided scrubs and comply with all dress code and unit-specific requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts RN License
- CNOR (Certified Perioperative Nurse) – Required
- Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS – Required
- Minimum 2 years of current First Assist Operating Room experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in both scrub and circulate roles
- Bachelor of Science degree required
- Must have personal reliable transportation
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Meditech Expanse electronic health records system
- Strong familiarity with perioperative workflows in a teaching hospital or similarly complex acute care environment
