Key Responsibilities- Perform first assist duties across a full spectrum of surgical procedures, including general elective and critical or life-saving surgeries
- Support surgical teams across multiple specialties within a high-volume regional hospital setting
- Adhere to facility attendance and scheduling standards, including punctuality requirements for all scheduled shifts
- Maintain compliance with all health system-wide profile and credentialing standards
- Complete a skills checklist within one year of application as required for RN specialties
Required Qualifications- Active Michigan RN license (LARA and Nursys verification required)
- Minimum 2 years of Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) experience
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- NBSTSA or NCCT certification required (certifications are considered interchangeable)
- Must not have been a full-time employee of the facility within the past six months to be eligible for contract placement
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience in Orthopedic, General, Endo-Vascular, Urology, or OB surgical settings
- Familiarity with multi-specialty surgical environments within a regional hospital system
