    Registered Nurse – First Assist (RNFA / STFA)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Full-Time | Days | 5x8-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) | 40 Hours/Week Guaranteed

    Key Responsibilities
    • Serve as a first assist in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) procedures
    • Proficiently harvest vein endoscopically as a core component of cardiac surgical cases
    • Float to provide general department first assist coverage across specialties including orthopedic, vascular, gynecologic, thoracic, and general surgeries when cardiac cases are not applicable
    • Fulfill call requirements of approximately 12–18 days per month, including 2–3 weekends per month
    • Complete required orientation modules and annual non-billable training as scheduled
    Required Qualifications
    • Active, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan
    • Certification as an RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assist) or STFA (Surgical Technologist First Assist)
    • Minimum 1 year of first assist experience required
    • CVOR experience required
    • Ability to proficiently perform endoscopic vein harvesting
    • Local candidates are accepted with no radius restrictions
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • 5 years of first assist experience strongly preferred
    • Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
    • Supervisor-level professional references available upon request
