Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse First Assistant Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: RNFA Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 - 15:30) Experience: 5 years preferred License: Valid license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Proficient in harvesting vein endoscopically. CVOR experience required. 1+ years experience required. Previous travel experience preferred. Description: The position involves working in a cardiac setting as an RNFA. The nurse will be responsible for assisting in various surgical procedures, including general, orthopedic, vascular, gynecology, and thoracic surgeries. There is a call requirement of 12-18 days per month. Weekend coverage is required for 2-3 weekends per month. Candidates must have experience with endoscopic vein harvesting. The ideal candidate will have experience in a CVOR setting and a strong background in traveling assignments. Additional responsibilities include providing general department support when cardiac care is not applicable. The nurse will engage in a variety of surgical tasks, ensuring aseptic technique and patient safety. Teamwork and collaboration with other healthcare professionals are essential in this role. Candidates must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently. A thorough understanding of surgical protocols and patient care practices is required for this position.
