Interventional Radiology RN (IR RN)Shift Details
- 4x10-hour shifts
- Day/Evening hours, 40 hours per week
- Weekends, holidays, and on-call per unit need
Position Overview
- Exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art environment
- Provides specialized patient care to adult inpatient and outpatients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
- Procedures include biopsies, embolizations, ablations, angiography, drain placements, and other image-guided procedures
- Role includes preparing patients, intra-procedure monitoring, and post-procedure recovery including PACU and extended stay (23-hour)
- IR is an essential part of the critical embolization response team for trauma patients
- Requires critical thinking, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- The IR RN collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
Required Qualifications
- BLS (AHA only)
- ACLS (AHA only)
- Telemetry experience
- Two (2) years of experience
- 1 year of recent IR experience
- NYS RN License (New York only)
Additional Requirements
- Will be required to wear hospital-issued and laundered scrub pants and tops in addition to other infection prevention measures when needed in procedural areas
