Interventional Radiology RN (IR RN)Shift Details
  • 4x10-hour shifts
  • Day/Evening hours, 40 hours per week
  • Weekends, holidays, and on-call per unit need
Position Overview

  • Provides specialized patient care to adult inpatient and outpatients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
  • Procedures include biopsies, embolizations, ablations, angiography, drain placements, and other image-guided procedures
  • Role includes preparing patients, intra-procedure monitoring, and post-procedure recovery including PACU and extended stay (23-hour)
  • IR is an essential part of the critical embolization response team for trauma patients
  • Requires critical thinking, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • The IR RN collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
Required Qualifications
  • BLS (AHA only)
  • ACLS (AHA only)
  • Telemetry experience
  • Two (2) years of experience
  • 1 year of recent IR experience
  • NYS RN License (New York only)
