Description:
Please ensure the traveler is aware of the following.
Upon accepting an assignment and starting the role, the unit manager may assign you to an "Emergency Team."
There will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or be part of the relief team.
Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed on each emergency event, as impacts vary.
By signing the travel contract to take this position, you accept the above conditions.
You should report as assigned by your immediate unit manager if an emergency event occurs.
You must be comfortable with these conditions.
Candidates must be willing to work 2 of the 4 designated holiday periods annually: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's.
Although Halloween is not a paid holiday, some units may require traveler coverage.
Holiday assignments are based on departmental needs and fair staff rotation.
Candidates must handle the workload independently and must be competent to jump in right away.
No first-time travelers will be considered.
Shifts run from 06:00 to 18:30, working 5 days on and 2 days off, with a rotating call schedule.
Overnight call rotation is required, with an average daily census of 5-6 patients per room.
The staffing ratio is 1:6.
Preferred experience with infants and pediatrics.
Call and float requirements will be within the unit.
Every other weekend coverage is needed.
Experience with the Epic charting system is required.
You will collaborate alongside interventional radiology attendings, fellows, and residents, who are in-house 24/7.
Preferred certifications include CPI and PALS.
Required skills include circulator experience, conscious sedation proficiency, and telemetry experience.
Preferred skills include Level 1 trauma experience, scrub experience, and ICU/ED/Tele step-down experience.
Candidates must be over 65 miles from the facility.
Two years of experience in the specialty is required for all locations.
No call-ins are permitted, and all profile requirements must be addressed during the interview.
NURSYS reports must be submitted, and current references from managers or supervisors will be required.
No prior in-house agency contractors or permanent staff will be considered if employed within the last year.
