Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Experience working with mental health patients in a locked behavioral health setting
- Ability to administer medications using an Omnicell system
- BLS certification (AHA)
- Handle with Care (HWC) certification; may be completed onsite if needed
Education: BSN preferred, not required.
Unit & Clinical Details
- Forensic behavioral health setting serving adults with a history of legal issues who are approaching community placement.
- Common diagnoses and conditions include bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, major depression, substance abuse, diabetes, hypertension, and COPD.
- Responsibilities include medication administration, behavioral health nursing care, and supporting patient needs in a structured setting.
- Interdisciplinary support includes psychiatrists, social workers, rehabilitation staff, and an internal medical group.
Schedule & Facility Policies
- Weekends: Every other weekend
- On-Call: None
- Floating: None
- Dress Code: Blue scrubs
- Open-toe shoes, provocative clothing, and tight clothing are not permitted.
Travel & Local Requirements
- Travel Candidates: Must live at least 60 miles from the facility.
- Local Rate: $75 (confirm rate basis and applicable pay details).
- Orientation: Biweekly on Tuesdays; candidates must be available to attend a Tuesday orientation. Other start dates cannot be accommodated.
