Adult Psychiatric Registered Nurse (Adult Psych RN) – Day Shift

  • Schedule: Day Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 07:00 – 19:30 | 34.5 Guaranteed Hours per Week
    • Schedule Structure: Needs flexibility to fill core staffing gaps (block scheduling not guaranteed). Excessive absences/call-ins are taken seriously and may lead to contract termination.
    • Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend (EOW) coverage required.
    • Holiday Coverage: May be included in the holiday rotation (typically 2–3 holidays per year).
    • On-Call / Standby: No mandatory call or standby requirements; may be asked to pick up shifts in emergency situations.
    • Floating Protocol: First to float as needed across adult and adolescent psych units (rarely floated to Psych ER/Crisis, 5-bed acute, detox, or rehab).

  • State Licensure [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION - HARDSTOP]: Active New York RN License strictly required at submission [HARDSTOP].
  • Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION - HARDSTOP]:
    • Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support — Healthcare Provider) [HARDSTOP].
    • Active AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) [HARDSTOP].
    • Active AHA PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) [HARDSTOP].
    • De-escalation: Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification preferred (on-site training available if needed).
    • Education: BSN preferred.
