REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Position: Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (Psych RN).
• Previous Behavioral Health/Psychiatric nursing experience expected; minimum years are not specified.
• Must be comfortable providing care to adult patients aged 18 years and older.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• BSN preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Must demonstrate competency in psychiatric nursing, clinical judgment, crisis management, and patient safety.

REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS

• Behavioral Health patient assessment and monitoring.
• Crisis prevention and intervention.
• Medication administration and documentation.
• Psychiatric nursing care planning.
• Monitoring patients according to assigned risk and precaution levels.
• Maintaining a safe environment and identifying harmful contraband.
• Participating in multidisciplinary treatment planning.
• Conducting assigned group therapy sessions.
• Coordinating nursing assignments and directing supporting personnel.
• Providing emergency nursing care when necessary.

SCHEDULE

• Shift: Days, 6:30 AM–7:00 PM.
• Shift length: 12 hours.
• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week.
• Expected schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

• BLS – Required.
• CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention with Advanced Physical Skills (APS) – Mandatory.

LICENSE

• Current Illinois RN license required.
