Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking compassionate and adaptable Psychiatric Registered Nurses (RN) for a 16-week behavioral health assignment in West Virginia. This opportunity is ideal for nurses passionate about mental health care and committed to supporting patients through assessment, treatment, education, and recovery.
As a Psychiatric RN, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to individuals experiencing mental health and substance use disorders while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to promote patient safety and well-being.

Compensation
Travel Package
- Estimated Weekly Pay: Up to $2,182/week
- Taxable Hourly Rate: $25.50/hr
- Meals Stipend: $413/week
- Housing Stipend: $749/week
- Overtime: 1.5x after 40 hours worked
Local Pay
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate psychiatric nursing care.
- Monitor patients experiencing mental health and behavioral health conditions.
- Provide therapeutic communication and crisis intervention when needed.
- Administer medications and monitor treatment effectiveness.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, therapists, and healthcare teams.
- Support patient and family education related to mental health treatment and recovery.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with facility policies.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of practice.
- Current CPR certification (if applicable).
- TB screening documentation (if applicable).
- Current health certificate per contract or state requirements.
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred Experience
- At least 1 year of acute psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
- New graduates will be considered.
- Candidates must have full schedule flexibility and minimal requested time off.
