Job Requirements

• Active North Carolina RN license or compact/multistate license
• Minimum 2 years of behavioral health nursing experience
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• CPI certification (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention from Crisis Prevention Institute)
• Recent EPIC charting experience required
• Ability to float within skill set as needed
• Must live more than 40 miles from the facility
• References required
• Reliable documentation for compliance, including license and certifications

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult behavioral health patients
• Support patients through assessment, stabilization, and therapeutic intervention
• Use strong de-escalation and crisis prevention skills to maintain a secure environment
• Document accurately in EPIC and maintain timely clinical charting
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote positive patient outcomes
• Float within the hospital as needed based on unit needs and skill set
• Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
• Deliver professional, patient-centered care in a dynamic inpatient behavioral health setting
