Travel Nurse RN - Psychiatric - $1,915 per week

Experience Requirements

• One year of experience accepted.
• First-time travelers accepted with at least two years of experience and Cerner experience.
• Experience with psychiatric and mental health diagnoses, including addiction.
• Strong de-escalation skills required.

Required Certifications

• BLS
• CPI, MAB, or Secure certification/training required before start.

Patient Ratios

• Days: 1:6–8
• Nights: 1:8–10

Unit Support

• Mental Health Technicians (MHTs)
• Unit clerk on day shift
• Charge nurse
• Phlebotomy services
• Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner on days

Orientation

• New hires or nurses with one year of experience: 24 hours of classroom orientation plus 36 hours on the unit.
• Rehire orientation depends on the previous employment end date.

Scheduling Requirements

• Every other weekend, or four weekend days per month for block schedules.
• One major and one minor seasonal holiday may be required.
• Time off up to seven days may be approved on the facility's behalf, excluding blackout dates.
• Requests exceeding seven days require email approval.
• Holiday blackout dates apply throughout 2027, including major holidays and the entire month of March.

• Scrubs: Any color for RNs; black for MHTs
• Parking: Available beside the building
• Overtime: Travelers may pick up additional shifts
