• Shifts per Week: Approximately 3 shifts
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 - $1,770
• Schedule: Coverage needed seven days a week, including weekends

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required; behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• CPI certification required
• Strong assessment skills for mental health, substance use, and behavioral concerns
• Ability to use therapeutic communication, active listening, and empathy with patients in crisis
• Comfort with electronic documentation; Meditech experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ mental health status, behavior, and overall condition
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with behavioral health needs
• Administer psychiatric medications and monitor for side effects or adverse reactions
• Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation support, and short-term stabilization when needed
• Monitor vital signs, mental status changes, and response to treatment
• Support safe, compassionate care on adolescent and adult psychiatric units
• Collaborate with the care team to promote positive patient outcomes
