Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent experience in behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, or mental health care
• Comfort working with patients across all age groups, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and senior populations
• Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend as scheduled
• Experience with paper charting preferred
• Strong communication, observation, and de-escalation skills

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in an acute psychiatric and behavioral health setting
• Complete patient assessments and monitor mental status, safety, and behavioral changes
• Support stabilization plans for patients receiving short-term acute inpatient care
• Assist with medication administration and documentation according to facility policy
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote a safe, therapeutic environment
• Maintain accurate paper charting and uphold all clinical and safety standards
• Deliver compassionate, age-appropriate care to diverse patient populations
