Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience
• Experience with de-escalation techniques preferred
• Experience with Handle With Care or CPI is a plus
• Comfortable working with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Ability to float between units as needed
• Familiarity with EHR documentation and medication systems preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to psychiatric and behavioral health patients
• Support patients across adolescent, adult, and older adult units as assigned
• Maintain a calm, therapeutic presence while promoting patient safety
• Use de-escalation techniques to assist with behavioral health situations
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record
• Administer medications and support treatment plans according to facility protocols
• Collaborate with the care team to help ensure positive patient outcomes
• Adapt to changing unit needs and provide flexible coverage when floated
